Charlotte County can get professional mold assessment / inspections that include detailed reports, source identification, remediation recommendations, and infrared thermal imaging camera checks.  Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda and Charlotte County residents should know that the EPA does not recommend deciding if a home needs mold remediation based soley on air samples.

"remember that a negative sampling report must not be used in place of a visual survey. Factors such as barometric pressure, inside and outside temperatures, activity levels, and humidity may dramatically reduce or increase the spore levels within a building. Air sampling for mold provides information on what was in the air only for the moment when the sampling occurred. It is important, therefore, that sampling not replace visual inspection."

Radon & Mold Professionals

John:

I have spoken with Dave, and he is extremely pleased with your prompt response.  When I meet with the homeowners in person to go over the reports, they are always pleased with the detail, and the pictures included.  It helps me better explain the situation to them, and we know that if the customer is happy, the adjuster is happy.

I did just want to take a moment to say that we are really happy with Rob and the work that he has done for us.  He communicates very well with myself and Heather, and has worked with us to get through any issues that have arisen.

Thank you so much for the referrals, and I look forward to working with you in the future.

Look forward to seeing you soon…somewhere!     PuroClean 1st Restoration Solutions

A mold inspection report that does NOT identify the extent and source of any mold problem, icluding remediation recommendations based on Nationally accepted standards is of little use to a homeowner or a respectable remediation company.

A mold inspection / assessment should be performed by an independent company, you do not want the same company to identify a problem, fix the problem and then perform the clearance inspection (prove cleanup was done properly).  This is unethical and will be against Florida law in 2010.

 New Florida Mold Law

In a effort to protect the citizens of Florida, Florida Governor Crist signed Mold / Inspection legislation (SB2234) into law. The new law will regulate the Mold Inspection industry and Home Inspection businesses and individuals.

Individuals will need a license and businesses will need to be certified.  The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation will handle the licensing and the company certifications.
